Types of Theatre

Proscenium theatre is a theatre space whose primary feature is a large archway(the proscenium arch) at or near the front of the stage, through which the audience views the play. The audience directly faces the stage, which is typically raised several feet above front row audience level.
Thrust theatre similar to proscenium stages but with a platform or performance area that extends into the audience space so that the audience is located on three sides.
Theatre in the round: The stage is surrounded by audience on all sides.
Traverse Theatre: A style of theatre seating or performance where the audience is on either side of the performance, and the audience are facing one another
The black box theater (or experimental theatre) consisting of a simple, somewhat unadorned performence space, usually a large square room with black walls and a flat floor.
Sandwich theatre: in which the audience sit in front to each other and very close to stage
Studio Theatre: [Flexible, or Adaptable, Theatre] a theatre in which it is possible to stage a play in a variety of forms, with no single arrangement considered as permanent for audience and acting areas.
Intimate Theatre: A very small theatre in 'which audience members are physically close to the actors.

Progress

Hi Hanee..
so, how ist it going? Seems like you are making progress in the development of the components?
Did you make yourself a time schedule for the Thesis? Remeber to stick strictly to the time schedule
so you do not run into troubles, timewise, at the end of the work on the thesis. When will Sandra and I see
something about the allover design approach according to your timescheduke?
Keep us posted,
best,

Matias
